About Our Teachers
Wendy Dion, MS, RYT has a Master's Degree in Health Science/Rehabilitation Counseling from Shand's Medical Center, University of Florida and is a RYT with Yoga Alliance. Her thirty years of study and practice of Hatha Yoga has included the Iyengar and Anusara methods and meditation instruction with esteemed teachers Patricia Walden, John Friend, Deb Neubauer, Donna Farhi, Sally Kempton and Paul Muller-Ortega. Three years ago, after enhancing her own health through Ayurveda, Wendy began intensive study of Ayurveda with her primary teacher, Kumudini Shoba, with whom she visited Sri Lanka in May, 2013. She currently teaches Ayur-Yoga, sees clients for private consultations and is the inspiration behind The Yoga Lodge, an enchanting center nestled in nature on Whidbey Island, dedicated to sharing the ancient wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda.

Diana has practiced yoga and meditation since the 1980’s. She received her RYT certification at Seattle Yoga Arts in 2015. She has found that tending to our bodies and breath with gentle mindfulness can connect us to internal resources of comfort, strength, and well-being that we may not have known were possible.
She is a registered nurse, practices Breema bodywork and plans to receive her Trager certification in spring of 2019.
Steve began his life in yoga in the early 1990s, which blossomed into a passion for living it. Having experienced yoga's healing benefits and a healthier lifestyle, Steve began teaching yoga in 2010. He is certified at the 500-hour level (RYT-500) by Aadil and Savitri Palkhivala's College of Purna Yoga in Seattle.
Jane approaches teaching by first looking at the body as a guide, leading us towards transformation, healing, alignment and wholeness. After practicing yoga for nearly two decades and studying with teachers around the country, Jane received her RYT certification from Wisdom Flow Yoga on Maui. She teaches an Alignment Rich & Meditative Vinyasa Flow that is based in a mix of traditional Hatha and Iyengar yoga. Her classes are for all levels & all bodies. Kate R. Casey, LMHC, Registered Yoga Teacher (200 hr level)
Inspired by her mother, Kate began practicing hatha yoga and meditation over 40 years ago. In 2000 she began yoga teacher training and training in the integration of yoga and psychotherapy at Aadil and Savitri Palkhivala's College of Purna Yoga in Seattle. The foundation of Purna Yoga is in the Iyengar tradition, which focuses on alignment, safety, effect and transformation; from this base, Purna Yoga seeks to synthesize into a whole the practices of asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy and lifestyle. As a psychotherapist for over 30 years, Kate integrates her yoga teacher training with her psychotherapeutic experience to enhance her students' opportunities for change and growth.

Deb St. Marie, ERYT-500, Certified Purna Yoga Teacher-2000 hour level
Deb has been a serious yoga practitioner for almost thirty years. Since 2003, she has studied continually with master teachers of international renown, Aadil Palkhivala and Savitri, the founders of Purna Yoga™ and owners of the Alive and Shine Center in Bellevue, WA. !
She is a graduate of the College of Purna Yoga™ and a Certified Purna Yoga™ Teacher, at the 2,000-hour level. Because Debbie believes it is vital that teachers continue to sharpen their skills, (not only to inspire their own teaching, but to ensure growth, for themselves and their students) she dedicates more than 200 hours each year to advanced studies with Savitri and Aadil. As a result, she has a deep understanding of the therapeutic applications of yoga and how it can assist healing after an injury, or strengthen the body through health challenges. !
