The seasons come and go. Often, we embrace the light of summer and resist winter's darkness, but the retreating nature of winter is a respite, an invitation to release and relax into the warm glow of our inner light---which is wisdom. To live with ease, we must practice the art of surrender---releasing muscular tension and worry, letting go of our aversion and attachment, emptying ourselves to make space for what's to come..

Winter is the perfect time---in the deep dark of the season---to steal away from the world's demands, to listen, in the blessed silence, for the wisdom of our inner voice. Winter arrives as absence, but what flowers within us---creativity, compassion, clarity---flourishes in direct relationship to the austerity of the season. We need deep silences and wide spaces to move inward, to survey the landscape of the self, to deepen into our essential nature.

Winter retreat is a sanctuary that invites you to come and nourish yourself, relax and rejuvenate, restore your vital energies with active and gentle yoga, contemplative silence, guided meditation, delicious and comforting food, a sauna, a walk in the woods, and the rare experience of peace.

Instructor

Shannon seeks to guide students to their own internal wisdom, and to that end, her classes support and encourage a balance of strength-building & flexibility, effort & ease, self-study and self-confidence. Since 2007, Shannon has taught breath-centered yoga as a practice of self-healing. Grounded in the breath, we bring the mind back to the body, to felt experience, to the present moment: this is where yoga becomes a homecoming that can open the way to calm energy, newfound peace, and a deepening joy.

-Shannon Kluever studied at Kripalu, which means compassion in Sanskrit. Kripalu was the first residential yoga center in the U.S. and is located in Lenox, MA. Shannon is Yoga Alliance certified.

1-4:00 pm Relaxation: Beach, Walk, Sauna, Shower, Nap, Journal, Meditate
4:00-6 pm Yoga Flow + Yin
6:00-7:00 pm Dinner
7:00-8:30 pm Evening Satsang

$150 non-refundable deposit due at registration. Balance due: 11/30/18
Cancellation Prior to 12/15/18: Registration fees minus deposit will be refunded
After 12/15: Registration fee minus deposit refundable only if your place at retreat is filled
